Kidlit Bookshelf
The Journey to Kidlit Bookshelf is our monthly pick of new children’s books worth studying if you’re writing for kids.
One of the best things you can do as a children’s book writer is read what’s being published right now. New releases show you what publishers are buying, give you mentor texts to study for craft, and help you find comp titles for your own manuscript.
Every month, we round up new releases across picture books, middle grade, young adult, and more. Each roundup also comes with a writer’s lens: one thing to study in that month’s books so you can use it in your own story.
