Frequently asked.

What if I’m new to writing and have questions?

Let’s schedule an Exploratory Session! This is a great way to get started as you’re learning about the industry. Here you can ask questions and learn what the best path will be for you to move forward with your story.

What should I send for a critique?

Critiques need to be formatted stories. (If you only have an outline or general idea, then we should schedule an exploratory session before a critique.) For your critique, please send either a Word document or PDF of either your PB manuscript or 1st 10-pages of your chapter book/novel.

What’s your writing background?

I’ve been in the children’s book writing world for six years now. Since starting out, I’ve read every craft book on writing, attended many many conferences dedicated to children’s book writing, and have received direct feedback from agents and editors who are industry leaders.

This has led me to become an award-winning picture book author of 3 children’s books and a children’s book publisher for a hybrid dedicated to publishing amazing children’s books. Along with my many years of experience, I’m also a member of multiple organizations. Including the ARA for SCBWI-Iowa, member of IBPA, MiPA, & IPG.

My life is dedicated to helping others write and publish the children’s books of their dreams. I can’t wait to help you, too!

Will you help me publish my children’s book?

Yes! I would definitely love to help you create your children’s book. My publishing house, BiblioKid Publishing, is a hybrid publisher dedicated to helping writers just like you create their children’s books.

We’re a full-service publisher. Which means we want to work with you from the beginning – including editing the book, creating and finalizing the illustrations, printing, and distribution.

Once we have a book ready for the market, we also want to see it succeed. Which is why all our BiblioKid authors receive guidance and a custom strategy to help them market their children’s book.

To publish a book with BiblioKid Publishing it ranges between $8,000-$12,000. Book your free consultation with me above.

It was so helpful to have Brooke’s sweet encouragement, as well as her much-needed wisdom and advice. She was kind and gracious with her feedback—even the difficult feedback—and clearly wants to see me have a successful finished children’s book. After meeting with her for my book critique, I feel more confident to move forward. Thanks so much, Brooke!
